Sapphire was in her inu doberman form, racing along the road. She was escaping from a dog catcher since she had no collar. She shook her head and growled as she heard the truck come closer. Damn... I don't want to go to the pound... but I can't change to human form... too many humans nearby. She pressed forward, dodging down an alleyway and padding along silently as she watched a cat jump from window to window. It made her wish she had been part cat instead. She shivered and darted through the back way of the alley. Her brown eyes searching for some sort of escape. She spotted a broken fence and decided it was her best bet. She squirmed through the fence and raced through the yard, her heart pounding. Her paws flew across the ground and she could almost swear that she was flying. She breathed in and out calmly, still running from the dog catcher. How she hated humans and their idea of helping animals. She sighed gently and raced away from that town, heading towards the next. About halfway there, she decided it was safe enough to turn to her human form. She was just about to do so when she caught the scent of other Mora's. She turned instantly and raced in that direction. She could feel the scent growing stronger as she made it farther and farther away from the human realm. She could tell that even though the scent was strong she had a while to go. But it meant they patrolled the area around here lots. Good for me, maybe they'll like me. She sighed gently and slowed down as the scent made it's strongest point. To her surprise it was like a small village that supplied as their border. She took a deep breath and howled, her strong voice ringing out with certainty. She shifted into almost human form, hey doberman ears and tail still with her. She shook out her cloths and leaned against a tree in order to catch her breath. She grumbled to herself and reached up with her bare hand to twist her hair around her finger. Her ears flicked slightly as she listened to any sound that would mean someone was coming. She straightened out her shirt and looked down at her tail that had naturally curled around her leg. She shook her head slightly and looked around for the person whom would meet her at the border. She took a deep breath in order to collect her thoughts, and as she did so she instantly started pacing back forth with each new thought. She shook her head and twirled her hair, she was both nervous and thoughtful. How... dangerous. She shook her hair loose from her hand and concentrated on making it so that she didn't have ears or a tail. She closed her eyes and reached up slowly, human ears and no tail. Damn she was good. She turned to look at the village like place, starting to move forward she halted and grumbled to herself about how it was wrong to cross a border.

Mine deleted too. It's alright, they shouldn't be that big anyway.

As he got up to start the day, the Inu began with a hot shower, rubbing clean smelling soaps over his lean body and through his dark brown mess of hair atop his head. He shaved the five o'clock shadow and then pulled around a fresh towel over his hipbones, the end of his black and white thin tail swaying behind him as he went. His body was soon then covered with clothes, consisting of a dark red and yellow lettered university sweater, grey boxers, and a new pair of khaki trousers that slimmed down more towards his ankles. Next he attempted to look for his shoes, shaking his head frantically as his triangularly large ears flopped from a scratch he was too busy to itch. Nikolai slipped his feet into some strapped, black high tops before moving back to the bathroom to fix his hair. It was naturally a mess, but he needed to keep it intact if he wanted to look good, he thought. Once he was done and satisfied with his lochs, he grabbed his bag of books and pulled on one of his photography cameras around his neck.

As he walked out, he reminded himself to shut his door, locking it safely so that no one should get inside. Though there held a lot of friendly individuals in this area, it was still not a price for him to pay in trusting it just yet. The Inu had perhaps been here for almost a few months now, yet he still needed some time to cope with his surroundings. His days at work have become a lot more fun as well now with the new addition - Haedyn was her name. She was very nice to him, and he was looking forwards to the next time he'd see her again. His tail wagged happily at the thought of going to work, it being a first for him felt foreign to know he was actually enjoying it. He wondered if it would ever get old. He took the long route next to the stables, checking out the kingdom horses and the trusted steeds owned personally from the higher ranks. Nikolai was about to take a picture of them before he was interrupted with a strange, feminine odor. The man put down his things and shifted, darting out of the area towards the borders. The spy kept low to the ground, the gentle giant carefully inching closer to the mistress which lurked close by. As he smelt that it was another of his kind, he slowly shifted back and stood to be his normal human height with the addition of two pointy ears and a long thin tail at the base of his spine. "Who're you and what do you want?" He said, not trying to come off rude, but realizing it as he said it aloud to her. Shrugging it off, he allowed it to go untouched and sought to find how she would respond. "I'm Nikolai. Name?" He didn't want to speak his rank just yet, he needed to know she could be trusted. For now, she would see him to be at least someone important.

Sapphire tilted her head as she realized someone had approached her. He looked human but had ears and a tail. Raising a hand to her mouth to cover a giggle she smiled charmingly towards the man. "I am very sorry for laughing... I have yet to meet someone like me." Her grey eyes lit up with joy and she stayed very still though she wanted to get a better look at the man. "I am Sapphire Emeraldson, a doberman and a human..." She smiled gently and reached to twirl her hand twirl her hair in a nervous reaction. She sighed gently and watched curiously as she waited a reply from him. "I... wish to find a home and family here, to be accepted and prove myself worthy." She tilted her head slightly, taking in every single detail. Naturally she did this so she might investigate, her curiosity always getting the better of her. She took in how tall the young man seemed to be, every detail about him. She reached into pocket and pulled out her small notebook and started writing down details. She ran a hand through her hair as she did a double take on the one standing nearby. She turned back to her notebook and scribbled down how easy going he seemed. He seemed to be much taller then herself by quite a bit, she estimated about 6'3" at the very least. She stood quietly, writing down details of the place so she might remember them clearly. She smiled cheerfully and turned to fully face Nikolai. "So mister Nikolai, what's it like here?" She held her pen at ready to write what he thought of the place, very pleased with herself on finding such a beautiful place. She took a deep yet calming breath and realized quickly that she must seem strange for writing things down. She shifted and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before blushing and looking yup at Nikolai. "It's like a journal... I write my thoughts on the places I visit in it. And the people I meet, the impressions I get off them." She offered the notebook that was half full of the recent places she had visited. She was trying to prove that she wasn't a spy or something creepy like that. No, she was rather innocent... but she did love to figure things out and work on mysteries.

Once he had heard her name and announced herself officially that he was apart of his kind, he neatly bowed his head in agreement before brushing up more of the conversation. His response began slowly, clear for her to understand and reasonable for his lack of superior rank, "An Inu.. welcome. You are just as much as a Mora as I am, Ms. Emeraldson. Perhaps more." Nikolai said, flashing a white smile, "No need to apologize.. You have a nice laugh, it deserves to be heard a bit more." He winked, noticing her stance and lack of there of confidence in her actions. The male thought of her to be one of those women that were scorned with beauty, but were to oblivious to realize it, and instead mostly replaced it with pure doubt upon themselves. Women that chose to do that were remarkably wrong in so many ways, he thought. They were all beautiful. As was she, and so was the Alchemist female, Haedyn - and most definitely their own Queen, but he referred to her as a sister figure, since it was the Brigadier's priority to keep her in care, not his. "If it is a home you seek, then so you shall. There are many houses to choose from, as this is my Queen's kingdom - the home of the Mora. Our kind. I'm sure you've interacted with more of our kind with how friendly you are to me.. or are you just naturally that pretty around people?" Nikolai chuckled, observing her as he was humored with his self as she took out her notebook and began to jot down notes about what was around her.

He didn't find it as strange as most others probably would, this was mostly because he didn't have a lot to judge. He was a child at heart, and tended to act on his own thoughts rather than thinking it through. His attention span also affected most of his abilities to think like others, so questioning the woman would only make him a hypocrite. Treat others like how he would want to be treated, he remembered from his godmother. "It's really nice here. There's plenty to do, and once you've found your place, which you are free to choose among the common village, you are free to settle and then go where you please. Our trust lies in your hands here, we hold no ill feelings towards those of a.. dark past." He swallowed hard and brushed it off with a short laugh, hiding the emotions behind bars and replacing it with forced happiness as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. When he was handed the small book of scribbles and notes, he took it willingly and nodded his head in gratitude before flipping through the thin white pages. He caught some things, scanning most of what she had put down whilst still remaining his full attention on her. "Great.. I'm not much of a traveling man, but I like nature a lot too. If ya ever need a companion some time, it'd be an honor for me to tag along. I'm a part-time photographer, so the setting would be amazing for me to snap a couple, don't ya think?" He grinned, looking up from the paper to her eyes.

When Nikolai got to the last page, which was about her impression on him, he read it quickly before biting back his lip, "I'm afraid you missed something you don't have on here.." He gave it back to her, hoping to brush his fingers softly against hers in the exchange, a sweet smile returning to his lips as it was still being bit. "You forgot the part where he's extremely handsome and has a great sense of humor. Proooobably really great body underneath all the clothes too. Maybe willing to take a pretty Inu like you out on a date." He said, winking at her once more. If it worked and he got a cute reaction out of her, he'd take it as a good thing to take borders more often. He could get the hang of this. Then he remembered, this was to be a serious interview, he needed to know the serious, important stuff. "Oh, and don't let me forget.." He said, trying to recover himself from flirting too much before the newbie. "I wish to know your skills.. what you can provide for us. There are a lot of positions open for our kind to grow in the kingdom. And Queen Willow is accepting to almost everyone here. I'm sure either way you'd be a wonderful addition." He said happily.

(o.o... that moment when someone changes your profile image and you know it wasn't you...=p)

Sapphire took her notebook from and instantly scribbled what he had said. 'He seems to be quite a charming young lad whom has a wonderful sense of humor and quite handsome. My impression of him is fairly decent but it will take some time getting used to something as strange as he is.' She giggled gently and offered the notebook back to the young man, pleased with herself. It then dawned on her that he had said something within those words, a date? She flushed red in the face and shifted slightly, brushing her hair out of her face she giggled again and shook her head slightly. "Ah, a date? Are you sure about that Mister Nikolai?" She tilted her head and then listened as he spoke once more, asking her what she could do for them. She brought a finger up to her face, tapping her lip gently in ponder. She removed her hand from her face and as she spoke her hands flew in unison. "I can fight for this place, I am skilled in self defense and attack... something I learned from my Governess, who was the only other inu that I have ever met. I can think pretty quickly and figure things out, I enjoy a good mystery. However I've never killed anyone, and I refuse to unless there is a very good reason. So if your looking for someone who can kill, I'm really not what you're looking for." She paused gently and rolled her eyes slightly. "Boy was she strict!" She giggled once more and smiled brightly as she referred to her governess. "I can also cook and am a Private Investigator as a full time job." She pulled and her I.D. from her pocked and opened it up to show her license of being rather legal. In all she was taught, she was mainly taught to be proper... no slouching and speak correctly. Always fill in the parts that are needed and never speak out of order, always stay calm and be ready for anything. She shifted and studied her surroundings, remembering everything he had said before, she decided to answer a few of them. "You're a photographer? Interesting, it would be quite fun having you around then!" She stated rather cheerfully.

"As for... dark pasts, I doubt mine is really dark whatsoever. I was raised with my aunt in a mansion in the middle of no where. My aunt hired an inu Governess... a cat none the less... and I was taught to be a proper lady and act accordingly to what goes on around me." She smiled and winked at him gently. "But of course, only when needed." Her grey eyes sparkled like never before, quite enjoying the teasing she had with the lad. She quite enjoyed his company, the fact he had greeted her made her life easier. She felt less nervous and easily comfortable with her words towards him. She stopped as she thought for a few moments, suddenly realizing that if he was greeting her then he must be of high ranking. She bowed in respect and an apologetic look crossed her face. "I'm so sorry, here I am chatting away... and you must think I am a fool..." Her words obviously meant that she thought he was a high rank. She glanced up and hoped that he could forgive her for being foolish as such. She straightened up slowly, blushing gently. She slipped her I.D. and notebook back into her pocket, shifting slightly as the wind blew her hair into her face. She brushed her hair from her face, her grey eyes fairly worried. Her worries washed away slightly as she studied him intently, she caught every detail in her mind so she might sketch him out later. Of course she wasn't a full time artist or even part time, but in her free time she sketched anything she could remember. Some came out nice while others seemed to be terrible. She could guess that sketching him out would be difficult since she had never sketched a person before, but later when she could settle herself down, she would give it a go.

Nikolai waved off his hand to the notebook she tried returning for him to look, knowing to trust her for now on, as well as no longer needing to have to read on paper what she was thinking. She did as she pleased, he liked that about her, a free spirit was always a great addition to his small group of friends. Perhaps he'd learn more of her in the future. The possibilities were endless, after all. When she spoke of the date, he provided a dashing smile and a pair of sparkling stormy colored eyes. It was a rhetorical question to him, and he could only hoped she knew the answer to herself. The Herald listened well to what she had to say about her experiences, noting that her past was however not as horrid as he may of assumed, and also concluding how easy-minded she was around other people. It surprised him a bit when she said she had only talked to only a slim amount of Moras other than him. Maybe that'll change once she has stayed in the kingdom a bit, he wondered quietly until she was finished.

Raising his eyebrows, he clapped his hands together before clasping the camera strap around his neck to keep it in place, "I'm also a bartender as a main job, photography is more of a hobby now of days. As for your skills.. impressive. Quite the warrior if I must say for a fragile woman like yourself." He said, keeping his eyes low and respectful from tracing over the contours of her body rather than her apple-shaped face. "I have a share of my fighting for defending myself, as well as perhaps a few others if I tried hard enough. This is very good to hear." He thought, continuing anyway like he knew what he was doing, moving his hands a little to emphasize his acknowledgement to her words, "I trust you as an individual to finally hear my rank.. as I am nothing more than a Herald - a spy, in other words. I am a commoner among these lands, but according to the superiors of ours, I am just as important as a Noble with the information I gather from our enemies, if we have them other than the humans." The Inu wagged his tail as he happily smiled down at her, hoping she'd be pleased that she knew he trusted her, and that he was no threat against her, so that they could share a mutual relationship upon friendly trust. "A Maston sounds to be the best suit for you, however, a beautiful woman like yourself will go many places, I'm sure. Can't forget such a face like yours, ya know?" He joked before slowly easing back on the balls of his feet. In a matter of seconds, his face had contorted into a snout and his body molded to that of a black and white spotted Great Dane. The gentle giant pawed forwards and wagged his tail before rotating to a position where his one side was facing her. He moved his head into the direction of the village and wondered if she'd shift and tag along. "Come'on, lets go get you settled in, we can walk around until you've found your match." Nikolai pushed, already beginning into a heavy trot as he distanced himself from her.

You can just say they looked around together until she found a house before he headed on home. c: You may change your rank to Maston now! WELCOME TO THE MORA<3
