She holds herself with a certain elegance, head held high and back straight, but her mouth doesn’t quite match the picture. She will not hesitate to tell her piece, often with a few curses clinging along. Jekaterina likes her own space, and is most often seen separate from a crowd unless she is well connected to them.

Personality: Jekaterina, as said before, likes her space and isolation. To some this would characterize herself as a loner, but it is hard to call her such. She knows that the true strength is in numbers and will not hesitate to strike up an alliance. She is intelligent and mature, able to and enjoys thinking through situations to find the best outcome. She is also very teachable. She likes feedback, allow does not receive much due to her quiet and independent nature. The best ways to get on Jekaterina’s backside are to be disrespectful, for she believes that even a proper enemy deserves it, and to betray her. Trust goes a long way for Jekaterina, no matter the species. Misuse her trust, and you can be sure she will remember. She is also very touchy when it comes to her family. If one happens to ask about them Jekaterina will shut down almost immediately and any headway towards friendship will be lost. Jekaterina also happens to be very blunt and partially insensitive, often times giving her a rude or improper first impression. She also has a strict dept policy, deadset on repaying anyone she may owe.

Likes: The Cold, Snow, Thunder, Boots, Spaghetti, Horses, Isolation, Football, Knives, patience, analyzing

Dislikes: Serious [Romantic] Relationships, Laziness, Selfishness, Large Groups, Underestimation, disrespect, rash thinking

Habits: Jekaterina has a nasty habit of receding into her thoughts. Her fondness of isolation and analyzing make this all to easy for her. When she's alone she does not notice it as much, but when she happens to be around others it becomes quite apparent. The subject may be a reoccuring problem being discussed at hand or a subject from her personal life such as the strange man that has been following her for centuries. Once she finds a solution Jekaterina often times blurts out whatever thoughts have formed within her mind, sometimes interrupting another without notice. She likes to share information, and prefers to work in groups rather than alone in order to get a job done. However, if she is not credited or notice for her accomplishments Jekaterina tends to get bitter and will restrain herself from thinking allowed in the next round. Jekaterina also has a strange fascination with blades, knives in particular. She has hardly used one herself, but can be seen handling one that she has on herself at all times. When Jekaterina is alone and away from a crowd she enjoys to write in one of her many journals that she has kept over the years. Writing has always been a passion of hers, and an easy way to pass the time. Smaller habits of hers are to play with the silver necklace that hangs at her neck (simple tree pendant), braiding her hair, and chewing her lip in times of worry.

History: Jekaterina was born in the month of september to her parents Viktor and Avdotya. They lived on a quiet farm outside the city where they had geese, horses, and cattle. Viktor was more of a businessman, traveling into the city for sometimes days at a time while his wife and child stayed home and cared for the farm. Four years Jekaterina lived in happiness and helped her mother with the farm. It never bothered her that her father was gone for long periods of times. Her happiness only increased with the arrival of her baby sister, Yevdokiya. They had their own squabbles and temper tantrums, but for the bigger picture they grew up together well. When the time was right and father had gained enough money he sent his oldest to a private school and in four years, sent his youngest. They received a fabulous education, Jekaterina specializing in math and science while Yevdokiya chose to engulf herself in the arts provided. Their mother came to each graduation, but their father was unable to attend either celebration. As the girls grew and time passed they saw their father less often, his absences growing from a couple days to sometimes months at a time. Upon each return he brought gifts back for his family in attempt to make up for time he had lost.

Avdotya grew ill. Father was away, and Jekaterina and Yevdokiya did all they could to try and help Avdotya. Father returned to find his wife beyond repair. Avdotya died two days later. The family had a private burial and mourned alone. Three days later Father left again and the two girls struggled to keep up with the farm and cope with the loss of their mother. Avdotya would locked herself in a room where loud music played to drown out her tears and Jekaterina brushed the horses as she grieved. It was a very long time until Father returned. This time his gifts were three red vials that contained a crimson liquid. Ways unknown to Jekaterina, her father had obtained Vampire Blood. His two girls thought he was crazy as he urged them to drink it, that way they could be together for the rest of eternity. But with their loss of their mother still fresh in their minds they gave in and downed each vial, one by one.

Miraculously each one of them successfully survived the change. It was excruciating and left each with a strange weakness, and a burning hunger. Their first feed was on their land animals. It was not by choice, it was simply the nearest source of blood. With ease they ripped open the throats of their once loved companions and broke limb after limb in their feverous dine. It was unnerving and strangely pleasant as well as other emotions all at once. Their blood did not satisfy their thirst, so with great speed and agility they made their way to the closest neighboring household. Their screams and cries for mercy are forever etched in Jekaterina's memory, but the thrill of the hunt overpowered all her senses telling her to run away. They visited two other households before their hunger was fulfilled. With the burning sensation slowly fading away, other senses began to register once again. Horror and remorse overtook the two young girls but not the father. Protecting his family was at the highest pole in his view as he rushed and yelled at them to pack their bags. Their time there had come to an end.

They lived in numerous homes over the years as they tried to understand what had happened to them. There was a great deal of time when the girls blamed their father for what happened to them, but their humanity began to slip away from them the more times they fed. As they learned the new bits and tricks that came to their lifestyle the family began to grow close once again, they were almost happy. They had to move around a lot due to their diet until they were introduced to the blood banks. The idea of such a thing baffled Yevdokiya, whom was the only one who hesitated at the feast. With little money on hand from their travels they were only allowed one small bag each. Soon there after Father began again to dabble in the life of business as he had before, and the girls were able to attempt a return at an almost normal life. Yevdokiya heard word about a fantastic school overseas, one of the best for those with talent in the arts. With the newfound grace she'd gained from her change, it was as hard as flicking for her to get accepted. The only issue was, again, money. Father gave whatever he could spare and Jekaterina even chipped in. The two watched as the youngest of all three board a ship to cross the great sea, and waited till the boat faded out of view.

Jekaterina's choice of work was small and simple. She worked in small cafes, where it was quiet and the people were mostly polite. She enjoyed her work, even with the smaller pay. It was somewhere she could still be attached to civilization and the gossip throughout the streets without having to participate. She would wait for the first sunday of every second month for the letter that Yevdokiya sent from the North America. She always started off by saying that she was alright and that the weather was so much better over there, she had never really been fond of the cold back home. Then she'd write about her classes, occasionally a boy or two she was interested in, and then finish up talking about the single photo she'd always send. Father would come in a day or two after the letter arrived to get a general update. He'd write a healthy check for Jekaterina to send with her return letter along with a sentence or two. Their lives were simple and repetitive after that, not changing very much over the years. The waiting time between each of Yevdokiya's letters began to grow until at one point they stopped all together. This worried both her sister and father, but they waited a good six months before venturing overseas to find her.

Over two painful years was spent in search for their lost little dear. They started at her school. Father looked around her small apartment for any signs of struggles or hints and clues that would point them in any direction while Jekaterina questioned her roommate, friends, professors, the like, she had more patience than her father when it came to people. But each party got frustrated with ease as they chased down dead end leads or a faulty trail. Each chase ended up bringing them right back to where they started, with nothing. Their second year was spent dealing out threats and rash killings to those that had not given them the answers they wanted, even if they truly had no knowledge of them. It was in the beginning of the third year when Jekaterina began to lose hope in finding her little sister. The time for angry grieving had passed for her, and instead the blame game took place. She fell into a quick depression, blaming herself for not traveling with her sister over seas. She became a drunk, left at home while Father continued the search.

She fell into a quick depression, blaming herself for not traveling with her sister over seas. She became a drunk, left at home while Father continued the search.

More months came and went with nothing new unturned. Jekaterina began to venture out of the house again, due to an unrelenting father. "I've lost one daughter, I won't lose another." Was his favorite words of choice. So she'd go out for a couple hours of the day to a quiet little cafe shop, much like the one she used to work at back home. Their search for Yevdokiya was withheld to the tiny walls of an old run down appartment, newspaper clippings lining the walls with names and photos of people Yevdokiya had come in contact with, some of them crossed out for gruesome reasons. It had become Father's obsession, he did little else besides this and visits to the blood banks. Jekaterina had long lost her hope and was on the verge of accepting her sister's death, as well as her father's insanity. There was a particular person of interest that helped Jekaterina with her grieving, a young man by the name of Ivan Renat Marlen Markovic. He had similiar roots to where Jekaterina had grown up, although they knew none of the same people. They met during one of her visits to the small cafe and despite all her displeasing attributes present that day, he'd bought her coffee and managed to make her smile during the darkness of it all. It wasn't till their third day together that she was called to answer a question of interest. "What brought you to America?" And she told him the general truth. Her sister had gone missing, and herself and her father had ventured overseas in hopes to find her. She left out the tiny detail of their race and the unpleasant details of their findings. Ivan was human.

Over the course of the next few months Father noticed the growing glow that had been missing for so long residing in Jekaterina's cheeks, the application of make-up, how she was beginning to take care of herself again. Things were going so well infact, that Father chose to abandon his search for one night and take Jekaterina out for a celebrational dinner. There was so much joy in the air that night. The two laughed, joked, teased and even exchanged old memories as well as new ones, not a drop of blood was going to be shed that night. Towards the end of their fabulous night, Father could not help but ask what had brought around the change he now saw and appreciated in his eldest daughter. It was with great joy and feelings of young giddyness that She told him about her Ivan and how he'd managed to pull her from her dark prison. Her happiness blinded her from seeing the slow anger that lied within his tightened jaw and clenched fists. He managed to retain himself from lashing out as he gave his daughter a severe and rude awakening. "You won't see him anymore. Have I raised you to be so blind that you would go out and trust a man you barely know? You're being careless Jekaterina. You dont want to share the same fate as Yevdokiya." She was in utter shock as her father spoke that way. Had he not seen the happiness this man brought to her face? She stood at once as he pushed forward to place the blame of Yevdokiya's dissapearance on Ivan's shoulders. "You don't know him." The words were bitter as she spoke them, turning to grab her coat and rush out of the resterant but not before she heard his calm and sinister words. "Neither do you."

It had begun to pour and as Jekaterina stepped outside she was almost immediately soaked. She pulled out her device and sent Ivan a message to a number he'd left her on one of her coffee cups. She was furious with her father, especially with how his words had managed to taint her thoughts. She felt like she knew there was no way there could be a connection between the two of them, but still she had to know. She'd never spoken the name of her sister to Ivan. Previously she'd thought it was because he was her own special piece away from this mess, someone who could perhaps make it all better, but now she was scared. All because of the few words her father spoke.

They arranged to meet at their favorite place, the small cafe in which they met. Ivan was already there as she walked through the door, soaked from head to toe thanks to the absence of a simple umbrella. He got up to greet her at once, taking her coat and instead replacing it with his. It was warm and smelt nice. The two had barely rested upon their chairs when Jekaterina asked him, "Do you know where my sister is?" Ivan's face was one of confusion as he told her he'd no idea. It was so believeable, but had he practiced that reply in front of a mirror? "Yevdokiya..." The one name caused Ivan's hand to falter as he had reached across the table to grasp her own, there was no hiding how he recognized it. "Do you know where Yevdokiya is?" She asked of him, her words quiet as she began to shake. Was it because of the chill of outside that had numbed her bones, or the anger that was slowly building with each second that past? Slowly Ivan withdrew his hand, clasping it with his other as he rest them on the table. His caring and worried features began to fix and mold themselves into hesitation, uncertainty. "Where is my sister." Jekaterina spat each word through gritted teeth, forming it as more of a demmand than a question. He knew. Her father had been right. Cold tears began to well up in her eyes. "Rina..." She left.

Father was furious when she got home. He'd been worried and the moment she entered the door she was peppered with questions. She told him what he wanted to hear, that he'd been right. Ivan had known Yevdokiya. He went off on a rampage, yelling ways they should go after him. He didn't understand when Jekaterina locked herself in her room. She wanted to part of this raid. So he went alone. She didn't even hear the door shut as he left. She had grabbed her earbuds and turned the volume as high as it could go, not recognizing the tune or understanding the words. But it blocked out her thoughts, that's all she could ask for at the moment. But the longer the music played that way, the more her thoughts began to eat away at her. The songs changed, new ones replaced the old. The clock ticked and tocked the minutes passing by. She emerged from her room, grabbed one of her father's many knives, and ventured out into the darkness after him. But when she arrived, she was too late. Ivan was dead, and her father gone.

It has been four years. Jekaterina still knows little about what happened that night, and has heard no word of her father. She repeated the same process they had when Yevdokiya had gone missing, and caught the same result. Nothing. She was past being angry, but there was no grief in its place. Yevdokiya was not dead nor was her father. Their disappearances were too alike. She was left with dozens of questions; who had taken them? why were they doing this? How could they disapear without a single trace? But perhaps the most threatening and chilling question of them all, was when would they come for her?
