| With the thoughts of Blake on his mind, Wesley could feel the binds of commitment wrapping around him, constricting the life from his care free world. He could not let some woman control him. No, Wesley was a free spirit, a bird of change. Nothing could keep him tied to one person, let alone one place. Tonight he was feeling he should get his drink on. But in the last few weeks, he had gotten himself into a little trouble at Lavender Lounge. One night he was literally thrown out by a very large male. As he was tossed out on his ass, he stared to the place. They yelled outlandish things towards him, but he did not care. He would be back there in a month or so. But for now, he would have to find another place to get his drink on. He walked down the streets of the downtown area. His eyes wandered to all the people, stumbling to their cars and friends. It was a funny thing to see on such a dark night. The only thing which illuminated the streets were the dim streetlights. Every now and then a police car would roll by, but Wesley made no care towards them. His hands were tusked into his pockets as they fished for his cigarettes and a lighter. As he pulled out the box, he slammed the top portion against his palm, "packing it" as it had been called. When he pulled a single stick out, he placed it between his lips and placed the pack back into his pocket. Using one hand, he forced the flame from its cavern of fuel. He cupped his hand around the end of the cigarette, blocking the flame from the wind and lit the stick on fire. As he took a drag, he pulled it from his lips and exhaled. As he continued to smoke from the cigarette, his eyes caught the bright lights of the hotel. He had never actually visited there, but he had heard good things about their bar. Why not try it out? He walked for the entrance, looking to the large lights as he flicked his cigarette to the street floor.
As he entered the lobby, he could see the large bar ahead of him. "This is my kind of place." There were very few souls in the bar at this time. But he did not mind. The least amount of people, the least amount of trouble he could get into. Wesley walked to the bar and sat in the stool before it. As the bartender appraoched him, he was cleaning a glass with a rag, "what can I get for ya, sir?" he asked as he stared to the human. "Can you smoke in here?" Wesley asked as the bartender lifted his hand to a smoking sign. "Perfect, I'll take a jack on the rocks. Make it a double." He sat in his stool, resting his back against the back portion. He pulled his cigarettes out and placed them on the bar. He pulled one out and lit it up. As he smoked, he looked around at the various bottles hung up along the walls. He stared at the waitresses as they wandered the area. But his main focus returned to the drink as it was rested before him at the end of the bar. As he took a puff from his cigarette, he placed it down on the ash tray and tapped the stick. Ashes fell inside the bowl. He placed it down and picked up his glass, taking a sip of it with a smile. Tonight was going to be a good one.

| There’s a difference between looking good and knowing you look good. Looking good happens when one has no clue their appearance is appreciated by the masses. It’s an innocently pointless process. Haedyn knew she looked good, that her heart was light and free as a bird. The energy around her was consumed by it and words couldn’t describe how much she loved the night life. She’d whistled at people kissing in corners and happily flirted with a few guys before she was on her way. Women mumbled “slut” or “whore” under their breaths, but the alchemist saw no trouble in showing some simple appreciation for the opposite sex. She was wild with her blonde hair tousled in that messy way people liked nowadays. Her slender frame was clothed in various shades of black, lacy arm warmers reaching over her hands and halfway up her forearms. The corset she’d chosen was leather, zipping up her front until it rested against the cleavage trying to push its way out of the gray t-shirt she wore underneath. Her leggings were black and frayed in large amounts at her thighs, the stiletto boots she’d chosen to wear beginning at her knees and coming down in multiple buckles to heels with a deadly point. It was edgy and she loved strutting down the sidewalk with nothing but attitude left in her wake. As for where she was going; she had no clue. Lavender Lounge was a temptation, but she honestly didn’t feel like going to her own workplace. The other option was the hotel, and as she walked through the doors of the bar she came to the dull realization she’d have to make a party of her own. Haedyn stalked over to the bar and hopped onto a stool, letting it spin her slowly before she pounded her hand upon the counter. “What do ya want missy?!” The bartender seemed disgruntled as he approached her, but she didn’t bat an eye. “Five shots of tequila and the rights to the stereo, pretty please with sugar on top.” She smiled and watched as the bartender handed her a remote before going to grab her the shots.
Haedyn removed her phone from her pocket and hooked it up to the stereo, turning up “I Love Rock n’ Roll” by Joan Jett with the heel of her boot against the volume dial, causing it to blast throughout the room. She danced in her seat and nodded her head to the music, taking one shot after another with quiet grace. The alchemist wanted to feel that pleasant buzz in her body that warmed her but didn’t steal her wits. She span around in her stool and air guitared as she did so. Her actions were followed by another shot, and another. She finally rested her elbows against the bar and looked around at the passerby as they cringed from the music. “No one appreciates a good rock song, goddamn,” she mumbled and glared at them. Haedyn's hazel hues grazed over the suitable guys she could victimize. She was going to dance and she wasn’t going to do it alone. Another shot was done and she glanced around again, working to target someone to join her depressing party of one.

| The bar had seemed to be the most empty room in this place. The counter where the clerk sat was very busy. Guests were checking in and others were checking out. But the slow-paced music played through the room. It sounded like he had been in an elevator. He drank from his glass and smoked his cigarette in silence. With a free hand, he reached for the bowl of peanuts and began munching on them. Wesley was not hungry, it was more out of boredom that he decided to fill his stomach with the small pieces of protein. It was not until the ball of life which was Haedyn, entered the room. Everything seemed to stop, noises silenced themselves, and time slowed way down. He watched from his dark corner, the way her aura dominated the room. How could anyone not look at her? He put out his cigarette and lifted his glass to his lips. He watched as she made her way to the bar and addressed the bartender. She had a silly way of dealing with others, and her drinking habits were something he could only wish to have in a girl. She took down the tequila with not even an ill face. She did it quickly, and Wesley knew he could have some fun with this girl. He grabbed his glass and moved closer to her. She turned up her music, blasting it through the room. Some people who seemed completely stuck up, gave her horrid looks and groaned in distaste to her actions. All Wesley could do was laugh. He sat down on the stool beside her and ordered another round of shots for the pair. The bartender was quick to get on the order. "It seems people don't appreciate good music anymore. Looking into the real oldies there. It's a classic." He handed her three shots of his own and three shots for her. "I hope you don't mind me joining you. It just seems like the rest of this place is inhibited by zombies." | |

| Shot after shot was done until she was sure she wouldn’t make any stupid mistakes but was buzzed, she preferred having a sound mind when making decisions. She was not impulsive; she thought of the pros and cons of whatever she was about to do. So when he arrived it was neither a pro or a con, she simply looked at him with her hazel-type eyes and listened to him talk. He commented on her song and rightly so, for the song deserved all the praise it could possibly get. Heading folded her legs beneath her on the stool and rested her chin in her palm, having watched him order shots for them both. He was sly, she’d give him that. “Oh, I don’t mind at all; I was looking for some company anyways. But if you don’t mind me asking, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good do you think you’re doing with me right now?” He was pretty obvious in her mind, no guy would buy her drinks without the slightest bit of interest in her. It was like the movies; at least this was one thing filmmakers got right. Her lips crept up in their corners with a mischievous grin as she winked at him. The round of shots he’d ordered came upon them and she lifted one to her lips, her eyes remaining locked on him as she took the alcohol without a care. She gave herself a second to look him over until she found that all she was was steamy and masculine, though horribly human. His mortality was like a stench she couldn’t relieve from her nose, but the tequila watered her senses down a bit. The alchemist wondered if her knew what she was, but the game was too fun for her to even begin to tell him. She’d enjoy flirting with this man until she decided exactly what she wanted to do with him, but until then she’d remain the Cool Girl. The girl who liked to drink and party and have fun though, when she thought about it, it was just her personality in general.
After she did another shot and the song changed to some hip-swaying beat, her hand reached out in offering to his. “You know I see your little game so I’ll play. I mean, you’ve already bought me a drink first.” Her eyebrow raised in challenge to him and she circled her finger around the shot glass casually. Spinning in her stool, Haedyn turned to face the rest of the partygoers and turn her music down a bit. This action was followed with a sigh of relief. A few women had lined the corners, their push-up bras so high their chins were touching their cleavage. The cast shady glances at her occasionally until she caught one woman’s eye and held it. It appeared the ladies didn’t approve of her due to their head-shaking, to which she responded with banging the sides of her hands against her hips twice and then tossing them into the air. Having given her universal sign of “whatcha want bitch”, she turned back to was with an angels smile and nodded her head towards the women. “Plastic bitches, Barbie World isn’t the home for every Barbie Girl,” she said. Her attention switched back to him as she did another shot and treated him as a point of interest, waiting for him to simply speak.

| "Well, since I have only just begun, I think I am doing quite well. I bought you the drink of your choice, and it seems we are both enjoying ourselves. But just to make things easier on me, how 'bout you tell me how I am doing?" He gave her a quaint smile, flashing his pearly whites. He took one of the shots he bought for himself. He drank the rest of his shots, not leaving any strange looks on his face. "Garson! We are in need of more shots!" he called to the bartender. He gave another smile and looked to Haedyn, turning his body to face her. "Then might I say, you are a very intelligent and beautiful girl. Not many can see through my ways, but you sure do. Such an occasion is very rare. So, does this intelligent young foreign girl have a name? I am Wesley." He smiled to her again, as the shots came back to them again. He took his shot, lifted it up and said with a toothy grin, "Here's to lookin' at you kid." He took his shot and placed it down on the counter. AS she spun around, he looked to where she had been watching. He watched the women she spoke of as "Barbies". A lot of men would die to sleep with girls like that, but not Wesley. He had that too many times to even think about. Those girls were boring, much like sleeping with a fish. They just laid there and some had screams like felines. It was not fun. Their body parts were banging, but everything else was sub par, at best. He turned around and placed his back against the counter. He watched them and looked to Haedyn. "Not into the annoying pin heads which wander these lands in search of affection and attention? I am not either. They are too stuck up and think they could get any guy they want. They are like the... parsley of a dinner plate. Too bland and not really needed for the actual meal itself. Nobody really wants to be around something like that." He looked to her with a smile and took another shot. "So what's your name, foreign girl?" | |

| The bursts of her laughter were short but pure, an amused smile on her face as she listened to him compare the Barbies to parsley. In her buzzed state she could imagine their hair turning green and then the women themselves resembling the plate accessory. Things were only getting more bleary from then on and she knew she should draw the line where she was. As he called for another round of shots she waved hers off and shook her head. “I’ve had too much already, if I keep going I’ll do something I might regret.” Hazel eyes turned upon him and she swayed in her barstool. The motion settled her mind somewhat like a boat would at sea. As she caught his gaze, she didn’t really think much of him now. Her curiosity was what exactly were his intentions around her. Maybe he was hoping she’d be one of those girls who get drunk and then get horny. Well damn him for being right. She liked the idea of taking him away where no one could see and just keeping him there all to herself for the night. In fact, she liked the idea a little too much. He would be the definition of something she would regret, but the alcohol said otherwise. “My name is Headyn, if names are really required,” she said. Her eyes began to travel over him and she decided that she wanted to do something absolutely crazy. To her it sounded like a great idea at the time and it intrigued her enough. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Wesley, Oh, and I’m not foreign. My family was.. That’s where I got the accent. I have a shirt that says ‘Made In Brooklyn’ in my closet right now.” She had babbled a little too much, but she finally stood and took his hand. One step closer and she was speaking quietly into his ear. “Now I’m not too sure about you, but I’m not one for chit-chat. I think it’d be best to do something we both may or may not regret and then never see each other again, yeah? You’re at an eight on my performance scale, by the way. How high could you crank it up?” She turned the stereo off completely and put the remote in its respective place, her hand still holding his as she saluted to the bartender. He rolled his eyes at her childish antics but she began walking from the bar. Out of instinct her middle finger raised to the Barbies as she waved her goodbyes. In her bubbly voice she hummed beneath her breath and waited to see if he would follow her. If he did she would nod at him towards the front desk to get them a room. She wasn’t exactly picky about where, but a bathroom was below her standards. | |

| His fun had only just begun and she did not wish to drink any longer. He could feel the buzz coming, but after many years of alcoholism, it was hard for the male to get drunk. "Never mind those shots." he told the barkeep. His eyes moved to her and he smiled. "Names are not required, but I always like to know a name to a face... Even if I will only see them for a night or two." He smiled slyly and looked to the clock. When she spoke of not being foreign, he could not help but to chuckle. He shook his head from side to side, "no no, a foreign girl is a nickname I have for girls who are not Human. You don't actually have to be from elsewhere, just not like... me. It may sound a little racist, but I happen to enjoy foreign girls much better. It's more enticing and exotic." When she spoke of regrets, Wesley regretted nothing. Everything he had done from the first day he was born until there very moment had never been a regret. They were always sound decisions in his mind. "I agree, chit-chat is for old hags. If you give me a chance, I'm sure I can top your charts.." Cocky and proud, such wonderful qualities to have in one's self. As Haedyn moved from the bar, he pulled out some Denari and left it on the bar to pay for all of their drinks. He walked to the clerk at the reception desk and quickly found himself the cheapest room. It happened to be right below the top floor, which was reserved for suites, and held a grand view of the downtown region. He grabbed the key from the clerk and walked up to Haedyn, showing it to her. "After you, mi'lady..." he said as he walked to the elevator and pushed the button for "up". As the double doors opened, Wesley walked in after Haedyn. He watched her ass as she stepped inside and bit his bottom lip. When the doors closed, he pushed the button to their floor. He pulled her close to him, pressing his lips against hers. | |

| So he knew, then. That was perfectly fine. This night would feel much better if she could release her tail and ears to the fresh air. Her nails tapped against the wall as she watching him order their room, her bottom lip being bit between her teeth. Haedyn knew he would return to her soon, and he did just as expected. He normal strut took her to the elevator, hips swinging followed by the fierce darting of her eyes around the room. It was if she had a secret even though it was obvious. She moved into the elevator and awaited his presence, staring at him in the way a woman does when she desires a man. Her lips parted and her chin tilted down to look at him through her lashes. Finally her eyes were to meet his and, before she knew it, a pair of firm lips were against hers. Instantly she melted against his body but was set alight by him, sparking something deep inside her that began to rattle its cage. Her lips collided with his over and over as she pulled him against her, raking her nails over his back and growling softly. It hadn’t been long since she’d lost herself in a sensation similar, but she couldn’t deny that it didn’t feel good to get lost in it again. She no longer had to think at all; just react. Haedyn’s heart sped up and her lips moved from his to his jaw. The alchemist’s lips trailed lower and lower as she gently bit and kissed the skin she found there, unable to help herself from going in for a taste. Her hail freed itself from her back and she moaned with relief once her ears had unfolded as well. Haedyn’s tail swayed behind her and curled up hungrily the more she kissed him. She was a dominant sort, but her independence made that obvious. The inu’s hands gripped and moved through his hair, unable to stop touching him despite how she would try. At some point she’d caught his lip between her teeth and she bit gently, her eyes staring into his. Behind her, she gripped the handle bar on the elevator until she heard the doors slide open. It was then that she broke away from him and had managed to swipe their room key from him in the process. She stalked from the elevator, her hair already bedroom messed though she was still clothed. Haedyn didn’t bother to look and see if he’d follow her from the elevator as she walked to their room, opening the door as she arrived. Quickly she threw her jacket off and stripped off her shirt as she waited for him to arrive. | |
