| In the first night of meeting, Wesley had discovered just how easy it could be to get laid after saving a girl's life. In the very first evening, they already kissed. Surely getting into her pants would be a simple conquest, one he would finally be able to cross off of his bucket list. But tonight would be a tricky one. In order for that to happen, they would have to be some place dark and secluded. They would need to be away from all the judging eyes and accusations. Wesley would have to find the perfect location. In order to do so, he decided to take a drive down the downtown location. The HMMVW was filled with a tank of gas and ready to go. He drove slowly down the streets, riding past many different places. The Lavender Lounge might have been a possibility if the bouncer had not been standing outside the door. He would not be allowed back in there that night. He drove around, seeing other locations such as the Casino where he had met Haedyn, the very wild Mora. He also saw the bowling alley where he met Skylar, but all of these places had some kind of significance to him. There was one place he had not yet been to, the movie theatre. What place could be better than the movies anyway? The room would be dark, they would sit in comfortable seats, share popcorn and a drink. But most of all, their seats could be towards the very back of the theatre, the darkest part where their little game could begin. He parked the vehicle in the parking lot and stepped out, making his way to the ticket booth. Showing his ID, he asked for two tickets to the 1900 showing of "Till Our Last Breath". It was a romantic movie about some stupid ship hitting a mass of something and sinking, testing the love of the young starring couple. Wesley knew that women wanted that love sappy crap, that if he could act in a manner that made him seem like he had a heart, then there would be no denying him sexy time. Wesley paid for the two tickets with his credit card and slipped them into his wallet. He walked back to the vehicle and climbed inside. As he heard the rev of the engine, he smiled and pulled out his phone. "Time to call the girl, you sly dog.." he chuckled to himself as he dialed her number. The phone rang a few times but when he heard her voice over the line, he smiled. "Good morning, Blake. How are you today?" he asked as he waited for her to reply. He wanted to sound as happy as possible to be speaking to her. He wanted her to feel as if she was the highlight of his day, though later in the evening would prove to be the truth. When she finished speaking he continued with his invitation. "I was wondering if you would like to go to the movies with me tonight? The movie starts at seven, so if you would like to come, please be outside by sixteen forty five, or six forty five if you don't know military time. I will be waiting for you near the ticket booth." He waited for her reply and smiled when she said yes. "Alright, I will see you there tonight then."
As they hung up the phone he laughed and tossed it onto the passenger's seat of the vehicle. He drove back to the human lands and started preparing for his night out. The first order of business was preparing his body for such an event. He started the music in the living room, allowing the noise to flood into all the rooms. He stripped his clothes on the way to his bedroom and jumped to the bathroom for a quick shower. Grabbing the bottle of shampoo, he used it as a microphone and sang "listen baby, ain't no mountain high... ain't no valley low... ain't no river wide enough baby.." He began to clean himself as he sang the song and danced. He would never admit to loving the song, but he knew Loch had been shacking it up with the General recently. He was barely ever there anymore. When he got out, he wrapped his towel tight around his waist. He dried himself off and started to get dressed. For a shirt, he chose a cyan blue button down and a pair of dark jeans with a faded look around his ass. He combed his hair just perfectly and styled it with his gel, just as he did every day. Running the water in the bathroom sink, he lathered up his face with shaving cream and started to cut away all the stubble and shadow on his face. When he was all clean-shaven, he smiled to the mirror and slipped on his shoes. He walked out to the HMMVW and rode on down to the theatre. Down the road there was a small stand selling roses. He walked over and decided to buy a single white rose for the lady. He stood close to the sidewalk, rose behind his back as he waited for her to show up.

| Blake rose early that morning, wandering to Monet Quarter. The Mender dashed upstairs to check on the Canary she'd found a few weeks ago. when she first left she'd left behind a lot of food for the pair, instructing the male to work extra hard in finding food for his mate. Her time as a veterinarian in the human world had shown her that, being part animal herself, she had some minor influence on wild animals. She could communicate with them and somehow they understood her. It made minor procedures much easier when she could tell the animal what had to be done. She found the canary and unwrapped its makeshift bandage, finding the wing perfectly healed. A grin found her and refused to leave her face. She'd have to tell Niko the wonderful news. She was sure he'd be glad to hear that their little yellow friend was all better. She held the female to the window and watched her fly away with her mate, chirping happily. As she watched, her phone buzzed in her back pocket. She grabbed it and, seeing the caller ID, answered thusly, "Hello handsome." She grinned. She hadn't been able to stop thinking about that kiss since that night he'd saved her. Now he was calling her. Blake couldn't be happier. "I'm well, just getting started on some jobs at Home." She knew he probably wouldn't understand what she meant, but at least he'd understand she was doing something. Hadn't someone once told her to look busy? Play hard to get?
She listened to him speak on the other end, hearing the smile in his voice. She couldn't believe there could be someone so interested in her. Another part, now much more subdues, couldn't believe she was so interested in a Human. But that wasn't on her mind right now. All she could do was stop herself from squealing like a teenager as he asked her out on a date. "I'd love to. I'll see you then." She smiled as they said their goodbyes and hung up. It didn't matter that he couldn't see it. She still wanted to smile for him. The Mender felt like she could trust him. Like she could really see herself being with him. Maybe she'd show him her primal form, tell him about her scars and her family. Maybe not tonight, but one day. She felt confident about it, not scared. He'd saved her before, surely he wasn't out to hurt her.
For the rest of the day Blake opened up the house there, airing it out and cleaning up the debris. She found in a cupboard a notepad and dug a pen out of an old drawer in the study. Wandering around the property she started noting down things that needed to be fixed, ideas for renovations and such. If she was going to speak to the Regina about remodelling the house as a General Practise, it might to well to have some plans already made up. She sketched the floor plan of the two levels as it stood, then another as she intended it, including the new and moved walls, labelling each room for its purpose. All too soon the time came to ready herself for the date. During the day the weather had been mildly warm, but as the sun went down the temperature plummeted. She showered and dressed in dark blue skinny jeans; a long white top that stretched over her bum, it had a few embellishments around the neckline; and a black leather jacket. On her feet she wore a pair of black laced ankle boots, wedge heels as she wasn't quite adept at walking in stilettos. Her hair she curled and left down, framing her sweet face. The final touch was an old ring she wore on her index finger that once belonged to her grandmother, and a layered silver necklace.
She made her way to the packs borders and called for a taxi. The city lights were just starting to flicker on and soon the city would be a beautifully lit landscape. The driver took her to the Theatre Grand and she paid him with a generous tip before stepping out onto the street. All around people moved about their business, heading home from work or setting out for the evening. Her head swivelled about, searching for the handsome face with soft brown eyes that she knew would be there. She checked her phone, 6:50. A little late, but the traffic couldn't be helped. The ticket booth was just to her left so she knew he couldn't be far. Still her head twisted this way and that, curls bouncing about her shoulders. Where was he?

| As he stood outside the theatre, his hand was in his pocket, while the other rested behind his back, clutching the single rose for his date. He smiled as he waited for her, and soon he saw her in the crowd. She had been looking for him, but luckily his height was an advantage over the others. He made his way through the crowd and lightly placed a hand on her shoulder. As she turned around, he smiled and looked at her outfit. "You look more beautiful than the first day I saw you," he lied with a smile. Quickly he presented the rose to her, both hands around it. "I figured I would try and get a flower which could compare to your beauty, but seeing you tonight, I know I have failed." As she took the rose in her hand, he moved his free hand to grab her own. He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it gently. His brown eyes met her stare and he smiled again. Putting up the facade was easy, for he knew the payout would be completely worth it in the end. "Come, we must go get refreshments if you want them. I say we get large popcorn, our own drinks and whatever candy you want. It is totally on me. Uncle Sam is paying me mighty well, so why not enjoy it?" he joked as he walked with her to the entrance of the theatre. Upon entrance, they were greeted by the host standing at a pedestal, she gave them a smile and collected the tickets from Wesley. "You will be in theatre A-7, please head down the left hallway and it shall be on the right. We hope you enjoy your movie." Wesley nodded his head and grabbed the stubs back from her and headed to the snack bar. As he looked over the options, he turned to Blake with a smile. "What is it you would like sweetheart? You can have anything you want." When they were ready, he walked up to the counter and smiled to the gentleman assisting them. "What can I get for you today sir?" he asked with a genuine smile. Wesley looked to the board and then to the attendant. "I would like a large popcorn, and a medium Dr. Pepper, and whatever the lady wants." He looked to Blake and allowed her to make her order, and once she had done so, he handed his credit card to the attendant. Once they paid and got their things, Wesley made sure to carry the larger things, allowing her to carry her rose and whatever small things were left. They walked down the hall way and into the room of their movie. They had gotten there just as the advertisements for new movies started to play on the screen.
Wesley walked up the stairs and moved to sit in the farthest, darkest corner of the room. As he sat down, he placed the popcorn bucket on his lap and his drink to the side away from her. As the movie previews started to play, he stared at the screen. He watched the funny antics of the actors, bashing each other in the head with tools or whatever they could find. It had been called "The Three Stooges XXIV: In Space". It was a comedy movie, using the old movies of the past to make everyone feel reminiscent of the old times. The next preview showed a male clad in Roman attire. He was a Gladiator, beating another man's shield with his sword and knocking it from his hands. It seemed to be filled with action, blood, and gore. It was definitely something that caught Wesley's attention. He ate the popcorn silently as he watched the screen. That movie was called "Blood and Brawn". And the last preview, showed to be a love-filled sappy romantic movie sure to make any female cry. It showed the two characters, in love and sworn to never be together. But of course, something had forced them to be apart. He looked to Blake, curious to see if she were the emotional type. Would she cry to this quick clip or would she be able to hold it in? If she was the crying type, he would know exactly what he had to do to get the ultimate prize he had been waiting for since their first night together. When the room got very dark, he smiled and watched the beginning sponsorship reels going. He did not care for them much, only for the event that they would be engrossed in darkness, away from the other patrons in the room. In the dark they could get away with anything. "Blake..." he whispered low enough for only her to hear. He waited for her to turn her head and face him. When she did, he smiled and leaned in close, and pressed his lips gently to her own. "Thank you for coming out with me. I really appreciate it." Before long, the movie started and Wesley looked back to the silver screen, unable to wipe his smile from his features. To an outsider, they may think that he loved this girl, but the truth was only so deceptive. He was in love with the idea of bedding her, and completing an item on his bucket list.

| The Mender jumped, surprised slightly by the humans sudden appearance. Everything in this city smelt of human, it was tough to distinguish one specific human from the masses. Human stench was so thick and heavy that with so many together in one place, it was difficult to pick out the individual scents that made each person special. She smiled gratefully at his compliment, taking the rose from him with both hands. She brought the flower up to her nose for a gentle sniff, inhaling its sweet perfume. If anything her fifty years around humans had taught her anything, it was that a lot of them had the tendency to be quite crass in the way of compliments. So she thought it unlikely that he believed her to look more beautiful covered in this very specifically chosen outfit in comparison to when he first met her, scantily clad in a striped bikini. But she said nothing of this. Instead she smiled wider. "Thank you." One hand clutched the rose, holding it close to her chest so its scent wafted lightly by her nose, masking the human scent plugging the air. Her other hand was held securely in the Lieutenants, her eyes watching him graze his soft lips against her knuckles. Her gaze travelled over the rose, finding his eyes staring back at her.
They started to make their way to the theatre entrance, he suggesting what snacks they might have. She only nodded along, afraid that if she opened her mouth this dream would end. After having their tickets validated they waited in line to order food. Her eyes scanned the overhead menu, looking for something suitable. It all sounded delicious, but she didn't want to appear to be a pig. She wanted to make a good impression. So when they reached the counter, she said, "Um, I'll have a medium coke and a pack of pods please." She gave the gentleman behind the counter a grin and he smiled back at her. As for the pods, they were an interest of the Shifters. They were an old snack from the early twenty-first century and they were delicious. They weren't sold often, so when she got a chance, she'd buy some. Of course, being who she was, Blake would offer to share them with Wesley.
Her human date was kind enough to carry her pods as well as the popcorn and his drink, which she thanked him for. She, meanwhile, twirled the rose between her fingers, gripping the cup of coke in her other hand. When they'd finally sat in their seats, she set her drink, along with the rose, in the holder on the arm rest farthest from Wesley and her pods in her lap. She pulled her legs up onto the seat, curling them behind her and leaning on the arm rest that separated her from her date. She'd heard in these older style movie theatres that some of the seats had arm rests that folded back. It was perfect for couples. But she didn't want to say anything, she didn't want to seem too presumptuous with her new man friend. They were on a date, admittedly, but they weren't "dating". Were they? She thought maybe they could have been. Possibly. Surely. Still, she didn't want to push him. She was young and inexperienced, Blake didn't want to seem too eager.
The Mender looked up to the screen, watching the trailers. The first one looked as though everything seen in the trailer was everything worth watching. The Three Stooges was a tired old franchise, picked apart until it was slowly bleeding to death. It saddened her that filmmakers did this to all the good films. They killed Ghostbusters. The first was great, the second was good, but still only a sequel. The third one... painful. Every rendition after that was just horrid. The second trailer was for a gladiator film she thought might be worth seeing if she had the time. But the third trailer was just yet another romantic film. These too she felt were overdone. Looking around, all the women and even a few of the men were getting teary and excited about the trailer. She couldn't see it. Romantic movies were just so fake and unrealistic. Maybe if the lovers were a Shifter and a Human, or some other inter-species combination, it might be mildly thrilling. But the war was still a very real thing, and to many humans such relationships were unthinkable. The room went dark.
Blake turned to view her sweet knight as he whispered her name. "Mmmhmm?" Their lips met in the darkness, a hidden kiss known only by them. For that brief moment of intimacy, her hand went to his jaw. Then, too quickly, he'd pulled away. She smiled, regardless of whether he could see it. "Thank you for inviting me," came her hushed voice. She leaned over and placed a gentle peck on his jawline before drawing back to her own seat. She snatched up a handful of popcorn and popped it into her mouth, chewed and swallowed. "You can grab some pods too if you like." She turned her vision back to the screen, but her hand drifted over the edge of the seat, fingers almost brushing his thigh, where he could take hold of it if he so wished.

| As the lights fell around them, filling the room with darkness, Wesley could not help but to feel his anticipation growing within his trousers. He stared to the silver screen, watching the words and pictures appear, the names sliding to and fro across the screen. As she offered her pods to him, the only thing he could think of was not the candy. What more could he get her to offer up to him? What else would she be more than willing to share? Leaning close to her once more, he placed a single kiss upon her cheek, while his hand moved over his leg and secured itself on her hand. Like that of a spider, he spun her hand around to where their palms would tightly press to one another, holding in their embrace. His thumb gingerly rubbed her soft skin, touching her knuckles in a manner to show affection for her. Wesley pressed his cheek to hers and slowly made his way to her exposed neck. Parting his lips slightly, he grabbed her neck in between his teeth, and kissed her neck gently. The taste of her skin rushed over his lips, and he wanted more. He did not wish to stop. He did not care about the people here, their thoughts on the issue if more actually happened. He wanted Blake. He needed Blake. But before he could do more to the poor girl, he felt a vibration within his pocket. "Excuse me a moment," he whispered as his free hand reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He pulled his head from hers, and looked to the bright little screen. A text from an insignificant human male read across the screen. It was pointless, and his question was directly linked to beating a certain level of their favorite video game. Wesley read the text and gave her a smile, even though the text had ruined his route of attack on the unsuspecting Shifter. "Sorry about that. Steve is not the smartest when it comes to video games. I've been helping him with this one very tricky level... But I'm sure you don't wish to hear about that." He slipped his phone back into the depths of his pocket and started to grab a handful of popcorn, feeding himself. He took a drink of his beverage and started to watch the movie once more, while his hand held hers tight, unwavering in strength. | |

| The movie started playing but she was hardly paying any attention. Despite her eyes being fixed on the screen, her mind was whirring with endless possibilities. His hand caged itself around hers, his thumb rubbing smoothly over her knuckles. He placed a light kiss on her cheek, making her grin in the darkness. He leaned closer, increasing their level of contact past anything she had known before. Slowly, he began to nuzzle her cheek, then neck. His lips parted against her skin there. Her head rolled to the side, exposing her jugular to him. Still his lips trailed on, teeth grazing slightly. It was such a beautiful feeling, she wondered why she had not done this before. The face it was in the middle of a dark room filled with people who could expose them at any moment, made it so much more enticing. She didn't want him to stop, she wanted it to go on forever. Instead, he whispered in her ear, lips leaving her tender neck. She blinked, looking over at him to see a phone taking away his attention. While she waited she took a sip of her drink, then grabbed a handful of popcorn, tasting the salty-butteryness of its delight. Next she ate a few pods, combining the saltiness with the sweetness in an unmatchable flavour that lingered on her lips. When finally he was done replying, her free hand took cupped his chin and she brought her lips to his. When she pulled away, she whispered. "Perhaps not at this very moment." She smiled, her thumb now tracing over his knuckles. She leaned over tentatively, resting her head in his shoulder. | |

| With the kiss, his attention was right back where it should have been all along. He could not believe how she had commanded him so easily, so willingly. He would not be one to disappoint, not now, not ever. As they kissed, he closed his eyes and smiled. But just as soon as it was started, it slipped away from him. He bit his bottom lip and looked to her. As her head rested on his shoulder, Wesley knew what he had to do. "Blake, do you think you would be more comfortable on my lap? I know these chairs can cause you to get so weary and achy." He looked to her and moved his hand upon her cheek, turning her head to face his. Softly, he placed a tender kiss on her plump lips and forced his cheshire smile to appear. The clever boy was setting his trap. If not in the theater itself, Wesley would complete the deed this very night. He moved her gently, lifting the arm rest to lay in the upright position between their two seats, and pulled her onto his lap. While she was there, he moved her to rest her back on the remaining arm rest and faced her to the rest of the row of chairs. Nobody was in the aisle with them, all alone shrouded in darkness, it was perfect. He pulled her close and kissed her lips passionately. His tongue slithered over her lip and weaseled its way into her mouth. It searched around, rubbing seductively against her tongue and his hands touched her sides. He could feel the heat of her skin beneath the material, and he wanted to touch it. He wanted that skin to skin contact. There was nothing more he wanted right now. If all she wanted was a make out session here, it would be all they would have. Blake was in control from here on out. | |

| She was comfortable with their contact. She adored him. He was her knight. Her head on his shoulder her eyes found the screen once more, watching the young couple sneak away from a dinner to go dancing. She smiled, internally admitting that maybe the movie wasn't so bad. Wesleys voice greeted her once more, his hand cupping her cheek, tilting her head up to look at him. He kissed her once more with a grin. His face seemed to mirror her own feelings: she couldn't be happier. She nodded and sat up, letting him raise the arm rest that divided them. She scooted over into his lap, wrapping her arms around his waist for balance. He leaned her back to rest against his other arm rest, leaning in to kiss her. The Mender was a little shocked at this very serious display of affection, but she didn't stop it. Instead, she opened her mouth and let him in, their tongues dancing together. Her right hand slid up around his neck, holding them together. This, she believed, was what the humans called "making out". She was enjoying it very much. Her eyes had long since fluttered closed so she concentrated on the feel of the moment. "Would you two give it a rest already? Geez." Her eyes flew open to see a middle-aged man a few rows ahead had turned around to ask them to stop. Her lips released Wesleys to whisper back, "Sorry, I'm sorry." In the darkness she blushed in embarrassment, sad the beauty of the moment had ended. She turned back to the screen to see a view of a large ship in the ocean, framed by a gorgeous orange sunset. | |

| As the movie went on, Wesley made a point to hold her hand. Sometimes he would bring it up to his lips, kissing the back of it gently. He looked to her often, smiling and glancing to her chest every so often. As the woman had requested them to stop being so adorable, he smiled and nodded his head. He wished to speak to her, but chose not to. Instead, he leaned and kissed her neck once more. "As long as she is watching us, I do not think this will be as exciting anymore with her here. Perhaps after the movie, we can go a little somewhere more private? What do you say?" He kissed her lips, pressing tight to hers for a moment before slipping back into his seat. He ate some of the popcorn and took a sip of his drink. They cuddled together and enjoyed the film, watching the pair in the movie go through their ups and downs. It was a crappy film, in his opinion. But if Blake liked it and it led their little adventure on the way to a secluded bedroom, then it would all be worth it. As the credits started to play and the lights came up around the room, Wesley stood up and still holding her hand, helped her to her feet. As they walked from the theater, he smiled to her again, carrying their garbage and relieving it into the dumpster. As they walked outside, they spoke of the movie and their thoughts. Wesley lie about loving it, saying it had "restored his faith in others". It was when they made it to the street, that he wondered where they could go. They could not come back to the Human lands. It would be risky, especially if Loch had come home and discovered them. Then he would have so much to explain to everyone and if Liara discovered, well then his career would be over. He looked down the streets, thinking of any place which they could get a bed for cheap. The motel would be a perfect place to go. He walked down the street with her, hands interlocked. | (Ooc - just to finish off Blake in this thread) Blakes full attention was on the movie. She had to force herself not to look away from the screen and at her wonderful date. If she did she might never leave her seat for being rooted to the spot by his gaze. How a human had such power over her was incomprehensible. So she watched the movie right through to the end. Or that was her plan. Wesley, it seemed, was hell bent on distracting her. His lips often found the back of her hand. Then they found her neck, making her sigh heavily. Then his lips were at her ear, forming sweet words that sent wild fantasies dancing about her mind. Fantasies she'd not really considered before now, but fantasies she wanted to explore. Her chest heaved in excitement as she nodded, not daring to look him in the eye. She might do some very strange things right there with him if she did. But he took control and crushed his lips to hers for an infinitesimal second. The movie played on before then, unaware of their conversation or the decision she was about to make. The show must go on. So it did, and when finally the lights faded on they stood together, hand in hand. She told him how the movie was ok, but would have liked it better if "The coupling was more relatable." Outside on the street she wondered where they might head next. If she was right about his intentions - and she hoped she was, inexperienced as she was - she assumed the hotels would be their best bet. But she let him take the lead and simply followed wherever he wanted to go. (And so we move to the exciting finale of the evening...) | |
